Phone Audits
Conduct the initial energy audit over the phone. Review the homeowner's bills, usage patterns, and situation. Qualify whether solar + battery makes sense before anyone visits the home.
What matters
You can read a power bill and ask the right questions. You explain things clearly without overselling. You're honest when solar isn't the right fit.
Location: Gold Coast office
In-Home Audits
Visit the homeowner. Inspect the roof, switchboard, and property. Design the system on site. Present the proposal face to face.
What matters
Technical knowledge of solar + battery systems. You can explain a 25-year investment without pressure tactics. You represent SEG in someone's home — that means something.
Location: Queensland (state-wide) and New South Wales

Apprentice
Learn the trade on real installations with experienced SAA-accredited crews. Hands-on from day one.
What matters
You want to be an electrician. You show up. You listen. You're not afraid of roofs or hard work.

Trade Assistant (TA)
Support the install crew on site. Panel handling, racking, cable runs, site prep. The job that keeps the install moving.
What matters
Reliable, fit, willing to learn. Experience on solar sites is a plus but not required if you've got the right attitude.

SAA Solar & Battery Installer
Lead the installation. Solar, battery, hybrid systems. One crew, one job, one day. No rushing.
Requirements
- SAA Accredited Solar and Battery Installer certification
- Electrical licence valid for the state you work in

What qualifications do I need for sales roles?
No specific licence required. What matters is communication skills, reliability, and being honest with homeowners. For in-home audits, solar and battery system knowledge is expected.
What qualifications do I need for installation roles?
Depends on the role. Apprentices need to be enrolled or willing to enrol in an electrical apprenticeship. Trade assistants do not need a licence. SAA Installers need SAA Accredited Solar and Battery Installer certification and an electrical licence valid for the state they work in. Source Energy Group holds QLD ECL 1513399 and NSW ECL 311346C.
